Requirements

• RPG-Alive Reflection Edition requires Reflection 7.0 or higher.

Setting up Reflection for RPG-Alive

• Start a new Reflection Session
• Select Setup/View Settings... from the pull-down menu option.
• Find the setting named "HLLAPI Short Name" and change setting details to “A”. Press Ok.
• You can create more RPG-Alive sessions as needed:
• Simply Assign HLLAPI Short Names “B”, “C”, “D”, etc.

Testing to see if RPG-Alive is working

• Start RPG-Alive from the Programs Menu
• The RPG-Alive icon should appear in your system tray
• Enter SEU on any RPG source member
• The conditions and loops within this member should be outlined, and the comments should be highlighted.

Setting up RPG-Alive Special Hot Keys

• Select Setup/Keyboard... from the pull-down menu option.
• Select Ctrl-Space on the PC Keyboard. Then Click Remove. Then Select the Reset Key on the Terminal Keyboard and Click Map.
• Similarly assign other RPG-Alive keys, as needed, to the terminal Reset Keys. Then Press Ok. The following are RPG-Alive special hot keys:
• Ctrl-Space - Tabs Cursor and Auto-Completes Keywords.
• Ctrl-F1 - Display conext-sensitive definitions of RPG Operations and RPG built-in-functions
• Ctrl-A - Toggles delineation of all fields on a line.
• Ctrl-Plus (numeric keypad) – Increases Outline Spacing
• Ctrl-Minus (numeric keypad) – Decreases Outline Spacing
• Ctrl-Up and Ctrl-Down – Selects an RPG operation on a line of code
• Ctrl-1, Ctrl-2, Ctrl-3, and Ctrl-4 – Places cursor on Factor1, Operation, Factor2, and Result fields respectively.
• Ctrl-H – Hides / Displays the RPG outline.
• Save your session.
